ARTS Senior Animal Rescue is helping senior animals. Your old car, truck, van, or motorcycle will raise donation dollars for their work. In fact, just this Spring, they received a donation of just under $2,000.00 from a single vehicle donor!
Is Mittens a “senior animal”?
ARTS Senior Animal Rescue does the math like this: 8 years old plus for dogs and 10 years old plus for cats are senior animals.
Cats and dogs come to the rescue through overcrowded shelters and pounds. Some of the animals are strays. Vets refer animals to ARTS, and others are voluntary surrenders.
All rescues are placed in carefully vetted foster homes until a safe forever home is found.
“Sometimes animals come to us with not much time left and we welcome them in with open arms. These are our animals who will remain in palliative care in our loving foster homes until their time comes.”
How can I foster or adopt?
Visit the ARTS Senior Animal Rescue site to access their adoption application.
If adoption is a not yet on your radar, the rescue asks that you consider the following as a senior animal foster family:
“ARTS provides all supplies, medical care, and support the animal may need. All we ask in return is that you shower them with the love and cuddles they deserve, and get them to their vet appointments and occasional event so we can help them find their new family.
PLEASE NOTE: Priority will be given to people applying as cat fosters, homes with no other animals, homes willing to take on diabetic pets, and homes willing to take large bonded dogs. Thank you for your understanding!”
Unable to house a cat or dog, but ready to support in other ways?
Your donation dollars help!
As a pet owner, you know the cost of pet care. As our beloved cats and dogs get up in years, so do care costs! ARTS Senior Animal Rescue notes, “We are funded entirely by donations with the vast majority of the money going directly towards the medical and dental bills of the animals in our guardianship.”
Every dollar counts. That’s why we do what we do here at Donate a Car Canada! As our Springtime donor learned in May, if you donate your unused/unwanted vehicle we will turn it into donation dollars for ARTS.
The donation process takes under 15 minutes (usually closer to 5). You will receive a free tow or hiker service. We will manage the re-sale or recycling of your donated vehicle. ARTS will issue your tax receipt within 4 – 6 weeks of receiving the net proceeds from that vehicle sale!
Donate this summer and ensure the care of senior animals!
