From time to time we have the privilege of seeing a beauty of a collector car come rolling through. Most often, cars of a certain age are recycle ready. They draw reluctant interest from potential buyers. Sometimes we see a show-stopper like this 1963 Lotus Super Seven Series II dream boat!
With an original Lotus 7 frame, and a Lotus engine, stamped Ecurie Canada, the car drew curious attention.
She came to us as-seen, having a rich history. She was raced in Quebec in 1970 with Robert Roy at the wheel. The Lotus was also entered into Concours d’elegance, near Toronto, through the last 20 years.
Our diligent agent saw the value in this ol’ girl. He put in the legwork of promoting her to his broad buyer base. Fielding calls from the curious and the committed alike, his hard work paid off! He eventually settled in a sale outcome double what the donor hoped for!
Lotus legacy to make a lasting impact!
The Fortier family selected the Ottawa Humane Society as their charity of choice. Little did they know, coming to us with hopes of a return of “around $10,000.00,” that their beloved keepsake would bring such a fabulous return for the cause they love.
With a gift that will exceed $20,000.00 scheduled to be disbursed to the OHS this month end, we are delighted to celebrate one of the strongest donation outcomes in the history of Donate a Car Canada! Our heartfelt thanks for the generosity of our donor family, and the engaged and devoted efforts of our re-sale agent!
Charity on your mind for your old car?
Not all cars are collectors. But most every car has donation value! Your car, truck, van, SUV, or motorcycle matters! Scrap car? It is worth good money. Furthermore, the tow is always free. Vehicle in running condition and ready for re-sale? Brilliant! Our agents will sell the car to the highest bidder and your charity of choice will receive the net proceeds. The tow is free then, too, of course!
