On any given day, Janice would jump out of bed and get to the water with her kayak. If she had company join her at Eagle Lake, the canoe got wet too. The awe-inspiring sunrises while she watched the birds were nothing less than spectacular. That’s the kind of living most of us dream about.
Adventurer’s change in life benefits the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation
Pelicans, yellow headed black birds, loons – who wouldn’t enjoy the peace invoked in such serene surroundings? That’s exactly how Janice feels, but it’s time for a change in her world. She enjoyed several years of tranquil summers at the Lake in her Gulf Stream Kingsport 24. Then, a change in life circumstances turned her interests towards international travel. ‘Specifically of the expedition/adventure type!
Life is very, very good for Janice and she has much to look forward to! Her shift toward travel abroad meant making needed arrangements at home. One big decision was to donate an RV and two boats. Her desire was for someone else to enjoy their down time as much as she has. She also wanted the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation to benefit from the sale of the RV.
Why donate instead of pursuing a private sale?
When asked why she didn’t opt to sell the camper herself, she expressed appreciation
for our organization and the ease of connecting “ordinary people who want to help” and the charities they love. Janice wasn’t all that interested in going through the hassle it would take to look after it herself, so was rather delighted that she could give to the AIWC with ease.
Her pristine trailer was completely winterized. It was all ready for storage, or for a fall outing while the going was good! Her top-notch kayak and canoe were also ready to be sold at auction. We were beyond thrilled to see this kind of generosity extended to one of our deserving charities.
At Donate A Car Canada, one of our greatest joys is our ability to provide donors an alternative way to give. Matching your generosity with the charity of your choice is the heart of this work.
This is another exciting venture as we anticipate the successful sale of the Gulf Stream and the funds it will generate towards the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation.
A happy return for the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation
We have a fabulous update: Janice’s RV resulted in a donation of over $7,000.00 for the AIWC! ‘So much gratitude for the privilege of sharing in this adventure!
It’s outcomes like these that underscore, again and again, the beauty of vehicle donation for charity of choice. The process is so simple, quick, and free. You can gift ANY Canadian charity. Every vehicle counts — whether it’s re-sold, or recycled, donation dollars add up and your charity will be so grateful for every one of them.
