While we’re all being a little extra mindful about where we spend our hard earned dimes, we can also be sure that our giving is purely Canadian. And what do we really mean by that? Well, the organizations serving down the street from where we live, or more broadly in our provinces or nation-wide, need our support more now than ever.

Food banks need to fill the shelves. Those experiencing housing, education, or other insecurities need us to have their backs. We need our artists, athletes, educators, and helpers to thrive. When one thrives, we all thrive! We are all in this together and a little kindness and caring can go a long, long way!

First, simply fill in our online donation form. This will take you less than 10 minutes to complete.

Then, wait for a phone call from your supporting tow agent. They’ll set up your free tow in a timely, convenient manner.

Lastly, our agent will re-sell or recycle your donated vehicle. Then, the net proceeds will distributed to your charity. Just watch your inbox for your tax receipt!

Paralympics 2024 in the spotlight

Your first stop for all things Paris Paralympics 2024 is the Canadian Paralympic Committee!

They rally us, noting, “The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will unfold over twelve days of relentless competition and vibrant camaraderie, from August 28 to September 8, 2024. It will bring together over 4,400 of the globe’s most incredible Paralympic athletes.

With each passing edition, the Paralympic Games have grown not just in size but in the hearts of people worldwide, becoming a cornerstone event that captures the imagination of millions. These Games transcend the boundaries of sport, offering a powerful platform to highlight the intersection of athleticism and disability, ignite societal progress, and champion the cause of inclusivity on and off the field of play.”

Cheer the team, care close to home

I am writing this from the comfort of my own couch. In fact, I am barely an armchair athlete, let alone a real athlete! Maybe you can relate?

I am aware of “abilities” and “disabilities” in a different way when an Olympic torchlight shines on Canadians. My work history includes some years spent in respite care (in homes, and in the school system). During those years I worked with children and adults diverse in strengths and abilities. I have some small understanding of what it takes for our differently abled athletes to get where they are. Competition on a world stage is a playful reminder. Let’s cheer and support our fellows for whom everyday life is made more complicated by unique challenges.

Canada is home to charities whose aim it is to ensure accessibility. They work for equality, and inclusion for all Canadians. To that end, these are community-focused works. Some are working in our schools. Many are passionate about ensuring opportunities in work and sports.

While we cheer the wins and losses of athletes in Paris this August and September, we can support those our athletes represent here at home.

Our online form takes less than 10 minutes to fill out, if you are ready to go ahead. Donations move along at the pace that suits you best. It is standard for a car to go from “donated” to picked-up within 3 – 5 business days. So, if you have a car that needs to get out of the drive way, we can help in a hurry!

We make estate donations easy, too. This can be a gentle way for an executor or Power of Attorney to care for a loved one.
