The less visible toll of fire season is the cost to those who are putting their lives on the line. Visit Wounded Warriors to learn a bit about caring for first responders. Find out how you can get involved with their work!

Critter care and Canadian wildfires

Helping the voiceless — that is what our wildlife and animal rescue charities are all about! To help in choosing the recipient for your gift of time or resources, pop over to our Charities Page. Then, search, “Wildlife” to be directed to a list of charities that will include one nearest you. Or, if you prefer, a charity that is supporting directly in an area impacted by wildfires this season.

Search, “Rescue,” or “Animal Rescue,” to be directed to our many such domestic animal/pet supports.

Furthermore, don’t forget to search the SPCA and humane society services in affected areas, too. These shelters are often overwhelmed with an influx of displaced animals. They may need food, bedding, and financial aid to ensure care for vulnerable pets.

Motorcycle extending legacy at auction

With four classic rides (donated by the Jack Carter Group) going up on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross, it’s sure to be an inspiring venture!

We don’t have a lot of information on this two-stroke Suzuki Cobra T500, but she sure is pretty:

Regal Auctions will be managing the sale of Jack Carter Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd.‘s generous multiple donation.

Net sale proceeds will be distributed to the Canadian Red Cross Wildfire Appeals in BC, Alberta, and the North West Territories.

The auction house is located at 2600 7th Avenue North East Calgary, Alberta

’66, ’68, ’72, ’89 | YYC car dealership making magic with four special numbers

Auction-ready and just so pretty! Jack Carter Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd. is donating four absolute beauties on behalf of Canadian Red Cross wildfire appeals.

Soon to be up for sale at Regal Auctions in Calgary, Alberta (with helpful condition notes from the car dealership):

First on the list, a 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super: “Restoration complete about 15 years ago – about 30,000 miles after restoration. Fully maintained and driveable. A binder with pics etc is available for reference. This vehicle has been fully restored and would do great at a vintage auction.”

Then, a 1989 Jaguar XJ12 makes the roster: “The XJ12 Cabriolet was reserved for only the wealthiest, discerning buyers and this is a good one. With only approx 40,000 original miles, it is in beautiful original condition and looks every bit the part a Jag should. Having just had and extensive service it is reliable and ready.”

Not to be outdone, a 1966 Ford T Bird: “Fully restored in 2014 with an appraisal done at that time. Really unique vehicle in great condition. Perfect for a vintage car collector. We will provide all documents and appraisal for you.”

And last, but certainly not least, a 1968 Suzuki Cobra T500: “Two stroke Bike, low km but may have been rolled over. we have some additional information to provide when we drop off the bike.”
