Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary is signed up! A generous Subaru Outback donor connected to donate their vehicle and named the refuge as their charity of choice. How exactly does this work?

Then, sit back and wait for our agent to give you a buzz to set up your free tow (Yup! Free!). After that? Just watch your in box for your tax receipt.

When you filling in your form you’ll find our list of charities. It is a long, long list! One recent donor jokingly said, “This process was all so easy…except scrolling all the way down to the “W’s” to find my chosen charity!”

How did charities get on that list?

Donor’s like our recent Subaru saint requested that the charity they love be added to the list. If your beloved local, regional, or national work is not already on our list you’ll be able to request that we get ‘er done. And we will!

What is the donation value of a Subaru?

The first “value” of every vehicle donation is the experience itself. You can expect exceptional donor support and the thrill of knowing you’ve made a difference for the cause you care about.

The Outback donor we mention above wrote in to say, “‘Application online was very fast and easy with a well designed online application. Response after application was prompt and informative. Tow service was prompt, friendly and efficient. They went above and beyond as I accidently locked all of the keys in the car as I prepared it for pickup. The driver came to the location of the car and patiently gained access then drove the car back to his shop with dealer plates. I found him very friendly, skilled and patient. What if my car is in great condition and not ready for the scrap yard?

Whenever possible, our agents work diligently and capably to re-sell donated vehicles. This can be done through auction where vehicles are sold as-is to the highest bidder. Or, an agent might shop the Subaru (or any other amazing make) around to their substantial base of interested vehicle buyers.

Where a recycle-ready vehicle can bring in hundreds of dollars, a re-sale ready vehicle can bring in several thousand. Here is an example or two:

$1,232.25 was raised for the HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre! Thanks for donating your XVC, K.M.!

A ’92 SVX sold for $1,000.00. The donor’s chosen charity? BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.

$1,185.87 went to the Parkinson Association of Alberta thanks to J.R.’s Impreza donation!

Donate a vehicle for your hospital foundation

2021 brought in some sturdy gifts for children’s hospitals, in particular. In fact, we even had a sailboat donation that brought in over $5,000.00 for the BC Children’s Hospital!

An ’05 Audi landed The Montreal Children’s Hospital a gift of over $2,000.00. A Honda Pilot that we thought might be recycle-ready sold for over $2,700.00 for the Stollery! Furthermore, Jim Pattison’s CHF, a Saskatchewan charity, was the pick of donors across all Western provinces.

Donating to your local hospital in this way is easy. A form takes less than 10 minutes to fill out. We can also take your information over the phone during business hours.

We are heart-and-soul a Canadian company. Moreover, you can choose any Canadian charity to accept your gift.

How much really goes to my local foundation?

Every car, truck, van, SUV, and motorcycle is reviewed on its own merits. There are fees involved on the processing end, of course. Our tow guys need to put gas in the tow truck tank. They also need to keep their shops heated. We do need to keep our own home offices humming, too. We’ve been a work from home company since we opened up over 10 years ago (long before it became a COVID necessity). This has always been a cost-saver.
